Although Eva and Finn were placed in a difficult position with no guarantees of a positive outcome, the solid support system that surrounded them from beginning to end was genuinely touching to see. The secondary cast of characters-more specifically the family dynamics and interactions elevated the atmosphere and ended up being the parts of the book I enjoyed reading the most. Now that I’m thinking back over the entire story, in my opinion it probably would’ve fared better as a duet than a trilogy. The fast-pacing for the majority of the time lead to skimming through plot points that had been gradually developing from the previous books- which ultimately resulted in abrupt conclusions. Although I loved the genuinely caring and protective relationship that developed between the MCs, I did find it somewhat difficult to settle in and really connect with this book. This book felt relatively shorter than the previous two but understandably so as their story wraps-up.
